Description gorvy 2009-04-13 10:19:54 UTC
I used the version of Open Office 3.0.1, but because of the problem I had I had
to swich back to 2.4.1. After I perform a change in a document where was a
table and I saved it, when I tried to re-open it I didn't have the table in the
document, but only the text that was outside the table. The document seemed
corrupted and even if I tried to open it with other program (Microsoft Office)
the table was still missing. It was strange because I used this Open Office for
few months and I never had problems with it before. But out of the blue he
scramed my document, realy the table who was now on many empty pages, and here
and there were some lines when I opened it with Microsoft Office. When I tried
to open it with Note Pad he recognised that where there a table, but it didn't
appear like one.

Might be a DUP of Issue 99024, but it's impossible to decide that with the
current rare bug description.

@gorvy:
Before you file further issues or post again here, please read our guidelines on
<http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/pre_submission.html> and
<http://www.openoffice.org/bugs/bug_writing_guidelines.html>, then
contribute a clear step by step instruction containing all observations (error
messages ...), _every_key_press_and_every_mouse_click_ how to reproduce the
problem, and explain why you believe that your results are unexpected.
That means (for example):
do not write something like „I am not able to ...“, but
„6. left mouse click on …
     expected: …, colour of … changes, …
actual: no …., colour remains white, no …

Your report has no meaningful summary, OS is missing, you did not mention in
which format you saved the document (WORD97?), ...

Pls. feel free to reopen the issue if you find out that the problem differs from
the one reported in Issue 99024 and if you can not find any other report
concerning your problem.
