Since OOO310m2 I've not been able to open .xls files over the network file
share.  The .xls file opens and starts to fail on the 'calculating....' part of
the load.  If I copy the .xls file locally, it also stops on the calculating
part.  I can load some .xls files OK, but it seems like more complex files have
issues.  


I do not have this problem with OOo 3.0 and didn't have it until m3 of 310. 

It causes OOo to crash and I must force quit.   I have not found a pattern yet.

Downloaded and installed build 9391 today for MacOSX and I no longer see this problem.  I will continue 
to watch and update if I notice anything different.

I no longer observe this problem with M11 of 3.1.0

I consider the symptoms fixed.

Seems to be fixed as problem no longer occurs.
