defect -> enhancement reporter is requesting an option to turn shadow color transition off SBA: reassigned to CJ. Well, I would better say "add an option to retain the look and feel of the current OO UI" So it means basically - shadow color transition off - darker grey menu/toolsbars background on - thick colorfull icons off OO 2.0 beta has just too much contrast for eyes to look at for a longer time. Darker menu/toolbars background and less colorfull, more elegant icons make big difference in user experience when I am working now with current and new OO.. Than you. CJ: If we add an option it will only be available for Unix. Goal is to support the native Look and Feel of Windows, GNOME & KDE. "native look" of windows? Or do you mean "default look"? For everyone who is not using a bright windows-colorscheme, the current toolbars do *not* correspont to the native look of my desktop. That is the whole point why i find the toolbar-gradients so disgusting on my windows desktop: because they do *not* fit into the native look of it. Or is openoffice 2.0 only for people who leave the windows-colorscheme at the default? If yes, then it is not for me. In case you dont understand the problem (after it has been mentioned in numerous issues) - just open the windows display properties, and switch to a dark colorscheme (this means dark background, bright foreground) and then launch openoffice 2.0 |
