Can you show me one ASF mirror that offers OpenOffice artifacts? I am unable to find it: https://apache.mirror.digionline.de/ You need to take this up with Infra, since they make the rules Infra couldn't handle our download volumes "back then" so they removed OpenOffice from all mirrors. Maybe they can now? ;-) The download page I am referring to only links to the source archives. These are not large compared with some other products. Only the source archives need to be served from the mirrors. Infra granted OpenOffice an exception to this rule years ago. Infra's mirroring system completely excludes the 'openoffice' directory. I've asked Infra to evaluate the pros and cons of openoffice using the Apache Mirror system. https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-21497 After the move to CDN and the changes on the website, can this issue be closed now? We have moved to CDN and the source page now links accordingly. Maybe we could also update the Alternative Download Link #2 on the Sourceforge page https://www.openoffice.org/download/index.html to use something like: https://www.apache.org/dyn/closer.lua/openoffice/4.1.13/binaries instead of https://downloads.apache.org/openoffice/4.1.13/binaries/ so it uses the cdn. Yes, we should discuss that on dev@. |
