OS: KUbuntu 8.10 and Windows XP SP3
Document locale: ru/en
Add next Extensions: ModernImpressTemplates 1.0.1,
ProfessionalTemplatePackII-English 1.0, SunPresenterConsole, ru&uk dict 
1. Insert new table.
2. Enter (or copy/past from other document) text in table fields.
3. Save presentation.
4. Close Impress.
5. Start Impress and open last presentation. 
6. See lost text in table.

Sorry, could not reproduce. I open the attached file, select slide 3, insert
something into the table, save , close , reopened and the content is still there.

Please have a look at issue 97753 and try, if it works for you with the versions
OOoDEVm37 and OOo3.0.1RC1 or newer.

a lot of fixes have been done in the tables area. Please test if this can be
reproduced with a current version. If so, please feel free to reopen the issue.
