Description dfccollins 2007-09-15 22:30:14 UTC
I created an animation in presentation, it plays in the presentation, and
exports as a gif file. The exported gif file shows only one image, not the
animation. This feature works in Open Office 2.0 for me.

confirm. It works in OOo2.1 but no longer in 2.2.1. The gif-export has in
OOo2.2.1 only 1 picture inside.

Comment 4 Joe Smith 2007-10-11 04:28:46 UTC
Easy workaround: extract the GIF file from the .odp archive using unzip or other
archive utility. The resulting image file is intact and works fine.
Comment 5 jr 2007-11-25 15:05:58 UTC
Are there any news on that?
Comment 6 christian.guenther 2007-11-26 10:35:08 UTC
I can reproduce the bug in src680m236
When I export an animated image to an gif I like to have an animated gif but I
get only a not animated gif.

There is an even simpler workaround:

Save the presentation file, then use the normal procedure to export the animated
GIF. Works every time for me.

sj->wg: this issue is ready to be verified in cws[impress212]
Comment 12 wolframgarten 2011-04-07 08:55:55 UTC
Verified in CWS. The animation is now correctly exported when you use the Kontext Menu/ Save as picture. Using File/Export does not work but that would be new functionality according to the developer.
Comment 13 Regina Henschel 2011-04-07 11:21:43 UTC
Why is it "new functionality" when it worked with File | Export till OOo2.1 ?
Comment 14 sven.jacobi 2011-04-07 11:41:43 UTC
This is because we now have the possibility to change the export resolution, changing this resolution also require to change the resolution of the GIF animation, but this functionality is not implemented.

Regression -> so we can take back the fix for i4499, this would solve also this problem.

Or we enhance the export dialog to take care of gif animations, but this can't be done for OOo3.4.
Comment 15 clippka 2011-04-07 11:43:55 UTC
so do we have a follow up issue?
Comment 16 wolframgarten 2011-04-07 11:48:36 UTC
Not yet, I will set it up.
Comment 17 wolframgarten 2011-04-07 11:56:09 UTC
Now there is i117750 as a follow up.
