Description Unknown 2002-11-20 20:39:01 UTC
During the installation of 00o I chose to use the Mozilla address book
for access to contact info. When I try to look at addresses in writer I get a
blank table. The only icons operational are to turn explorer on and off or to
set the current table as source.

I subsequently created another connection to the Mozilla addressbook with the
same result. There is data both in personal and collected addresses which
views, edits, etc nicely in Mozilla.

This always repeats, wether Mozilla is running or not.

Hi eherrington,
  Thanks for your feedback
Can you tell me how you get and install the OOo-1.0.1?
I meet the same problem on redhat 8.0 with the default
installation it provides, while installing a downloading
one is OK. I will continue to investigate how these two
installations differ. But I wonder if you just meet this
problem in the same situation as referred above?
  Cheers.

I got 00o-1.0.1 through a download from the openoffice website. The
installation is completly standard on RH7.3
Since I have a very old computer I had to do the unset sessionmanager
command so that 00o-1.0.1 doesn't kill itself when it takes more than
30 seconds to load. It is the only thing I changed.

The only other thing that I can think of is that I use the same email
account as user and root, I don't know if this is unusual. I have the
same problem both as user and as root.

I can not confirm this problem with
1.1RC3 German version WIN98SE: 645m15(Build8669) [CWS:ooo11rc3]

Special LINUX problem?
Related to issue 8210 ?
I actually also see that I can only select the addressbook of one of
my MOZILLA profiles - I am just checking this.

though the original reporter said it's independent on Mozilla running
or not, for completeness: Red Hat once shipped a version with an
improperly patched OpenOffice.org, where such a problem occured when
Mozilla and OOo were running simultaneously:
