Reassigned o ES: Cannot reproduce. I can map Ctrl+Shift+P -> Print and Ctrl+P -> Page Preview. Please try to delete you OOo user directory. Maybe an inconsistency in the config files? Else, give a step by step description of how you map the shortcuts. This problem is probably the same for all the OO-apps. I misunderstood the behaviour in my first report. Here's the repro: 1. open writer and go to customize keyboard. 2. switch to openoffice.org in the top right corner 3. click in the shortcut list and press e.g. ctrl+shift+p 4. look up Print in the function list below (this list is very illogical and confusing and hard to find for most users, but that's another story). 5. click on print. 6. if the shortcut changed away from ctrl+shift+p (which is very frustrating and not user-friendly when you assign shortcuts but that's another story) click in the shortcut list and tap ctrl+shift+p once again. 7. now click Modify - now you should see Print in front of ctrl+shift+P 8. here comes the bug: Switch to Writer in the top right corner and switch back to OpenOffice.org 9. click in the shortcut list and tap Ctrl+shift+p 10. Notice that now Print is no longer assigned to ctrl+shift+P as it should have been. Often you'd simply assign one shortcut and press OK (and it would most likely work fine) but if you are assigning more shortcuts to both writer and openoffice this behaviour is rather dangerous and you could waste alot of time confusion. Cheers - David I changed the component to UI as it's probably the exact same issue with any oo- app. Short description: - New Writer document (for instance) - Tools - Customize - Keyboard - Redefine a shortcut "A" to a function "X" - Switch from "Openoffice.org" (default) to "Writer" and back to "Openoffice.org" -> the define shortcut has been lost. |
