His argument makes sense. confirming the issue. Strictly this is an enhancement. The word "incompatible" is a bit exaggereated in this case. Reassigned to requirements. Put FL on CC. The current behavior is a bug. The spec. [1] says: "Note: If we are able to export (not for OO.org 2.0) encrypted MS documents, the minimum length of 5 for a password is not valid. This means that the OK button is always enabled and the notice text in the password dialog is displayed as follows [...]" [1] Page 80ff: 88http://specs.openoffice.org/appwide/security/Electronic_Signatures_and_Security.sxw Please change the behavior accordingly. *** Issue 68689 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** Maybe for 3.1? Sorry, there looks to be no resources to implement this for OOo3.1 Hello @ll, I stumbled upon this issue during my TCM test. On my system (Debian SID/Experimental AMD64 with Germanophone version of OOO330m3) it is possible to inserts passwords with only one character. So I think, this issue is fixed ... ;) @jankratochvil: Can you test it on your system, too? If it is fixed, it would be kind, if you can close it ... ;) TIA Thomas. Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org". |
