Description 9point9 2006-04-24 00:39:22 UTC
As OpenDocument uses a styles.xml file to define styles, it would useful if the
styles.xml file in a given OpenDocument file could be linked to an external file
to maintain styles. This would be useful in being able to link styles.xml in a
file to the styles.xml file in the template it was derived from. Modification
of the template would update the file.

If someone is working with multiple OpenDocument files and wishes to maintain
consistency, this would be a way of doing so.

The ability to transparently convert Ooo xml file format into a fully compliant
CSS web ready document WOULD BE A BREAKTHROUGH. nO OTHER PRODUCTIVITY SUITE
ALLOWS THAT

Is this a duplicate of Issue 64014?

Confining the functionality to XML would have issues for documents saved in
.doc. .rtf, or other non-xml formats.
