I just check it on OOo 2.0rc. Before I used OOo from Fedora rawhide. It
reproduces on both.
On save as to my CIFS mounts i gets I/O error message. File created with zero
size. This works only with OOo. gedit/gnumeric for example creates files. I have
checked OOo dialogs on/off both.
I use Fedora rawhide / kernel 2.6.14rc2

I can't see why this should be a UI issue, changed to utilities, Prio changed to P3
