I shall attach two files to show what I mean. Open A, then open B, then try to cut and paste B after A. It works, but the look of B is changed to match the look of A, so that the original look of B is lost in the merged file. Created attachment 28863 [details]

Please consider re-testing with one of the latest versions of OOo, as the problem(s) may have already been addressed. Either use the recent stable version: http://download.openoffice.org/index.html or consider trying the new OOo 3 BETA (still in testing): http://download.openoffice.org/3.0beta/ Please report back the outcome so this Issue may be Closed or Progressed as necessary - otherwise it may be Resolved as Invalid in the future. You may also wish to search for (and note) any duplicates of this Issue that may have advanced further by checking the Issue Tracker: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/query.cgi Many thanks, Andrew Cleaning-up and Closing old Issues as part of: ~ The Grand Bug Squash, pre v3 ~ http://marketing.openoffice.org/3.0/announcementbeta.html System configuration: OS: windows Vista Home premium OO: OOO300m15 (Build 9379). Reproduction steps: 1.Open the presentation (attached by the reporter) a.ppt in impress 2.open presentation (attached by the reporter) b.ppt in impress (Note not .odp files) 3.copy the slide from a.ppt and paste it below the slide in b.ppt Result: The original look(design) of copied slide (a.ppt) is lost, and the copied slide now has the design of presentation to which it is copied (b.ppt). Additional information: 1.when merging these files using MS office 2007, on pasting the slide from a.ppt to b.ppt, there is a option to retain the source format (design). 2.I tried the similar task in impress, but by creating the original files in OO (.odp) Steps: 1.Create 1.odp and 2.odp both these files have different design 2.copy the slide from 1.odp and paste it below the slides in 2.odp Result: The original look of the slide from 1.odp is retained in 2.odp. |
