When I open files from within OOo or Quickstarter they load properly.  If I 
load files by clicking on them in Window Explorer the load as old DOS files.  
Instead of "sampledocument.doc" they load as "sample~1.doc".

Hi,
are you really sure that you Version 1.0.0 used?
This is a known issue in older Version but in 1.0.0 it is fixed.
I verified in Win98 and WinME, it works for me.

This is a duplicate to 3930.

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate
issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is
unfortunately to set them to verified.
