Hi peterlairo, thanks for using and supporting OpenOffice.org... reassigned to cj mci -> cj: Hi cj, please have a look at this issue. It's about improvement of Toolbar customization... CJ: I agree. The solutions introduced in 2.0 does leave room for improvement. OK, it's been seven years. Any chance on getting this on someone's plate? OK, it's been eight years now. Can someone at least CONFIRM this bug please? |
Optimize the Customize Toolbars Dialog It is too cumbersome to add toolbar buttons that are not in the standard set. The user should be able to just select a category on the left (or top) (which BTW should mirror the MENU items) and then on the right have a list of ALL functions in that category which he can click to "Add" or drag to the toolbar. A combination of the way WordPerfect(1) and MS Word(2) do it would be best (see screenshots). (1) - ability to add a separator, - separate dialogs for what to customize: A: toobar/menu B: add buttons (2) Categories on left, buttons on right
