Description Unknown 2002-05-11 15:37:11 UTC
Okay basicly this is the only thing I could track it down too and once it was
removed there error stoped occuring. ( Sorry if I should have put this somewhere
else I didn't have a clue where to put it. )

OS Windows 98 first edition most M$ things up to date
RAM 512
Proccessor P3-450
TCP IP network Dial-up to the internet.
Other noteworthy applications running Netscape 6.2,ICQ 2001b

Around 1 hour ( 20 min - 2hrs general close to 1hr but ) into connection UDP
protocol fails nothing short of a reboot fixes it close down every process bar a
few e.g. kernel32.dll doesn't fix it reconnecting does not fix it. Happens
randomly with no errors unfortunatly windows uses UDP to resovle host names.

Wierd bug don't have a clue why its happening.

It is currently unknown if other open office applications cause this error I
will investigate it tomorrow.
Comment 1 Unknown 2002-05-12 13:45:26 UTC
corruption also occurs with other open office applications.
Comment 2 matthias.huetsch 2002-05-20 17:09:18 UTC
Hi John,

Yes, that looks like a weird bug. And yes, the UCB (Universal Content
Broker) project might not be the right project to fix it. And yes, the
different applications are finally only the one process 'soffice.exe'.

But currently I have no idea how to reproduce your problem here.
Can you please describe in more detail what actions caused your
observed behaviour? Is it sufficient to just let the application sit
idle, i.e doing nothing? Or did you load/save any document via network,
i.e. from a WebDAV/HTTP or FTP server? Everything you did may be
helpful to find the reason behind the problem.

Thanks,
Matthias

Hi John,

Without further comments of yours I can't reproduce this issue. Therefore
I can't accept it or forward it to another developer.

I'll mark it as 'resolved - worksforme' and close it. If you can
provide more information as how to reproduce your problem, please
reopen this issue. I will then take another look at it.

Regards,
Matthias
