OPen a new spreadsheet on a system with a (single) wheel mouse.

Position your cursor over the while cells (eg in cell A1) and scroll the wheel.
Note the display scrolls correctly.

Position you cursor over the row numbers (eg the "1") and scrool
Nothing happens.


Justification for wanting this.

If I want to delete a number of rows, say row 10..100, I want to click on the
"10" to highlight the first row; SCROLL DOWN and Shift-Click the 100.

I can only do this my moving OFF the numbers before scrolling.

I note in passing that Excel "behaves in the desired manner".

as the current versions acts as the versions before, this is an enhancement request.
