When attempting to run setup with IIIMF installed on the system, (the IIim
server need not be running), it fails:

$ ./setup
glibc version: 2.2.4
/tmp/sv001.tmp/setup.bin: relocation error: /usr/lib/im/xiiimp.so.2: undefined
symbol: strlcpy
$ 

The installed version of IIIMF is from Li18nux's CVS tag r10_1.

If I first set the environment variable USE_XOPENIM before starting
any OpenOffice stuff, then everything works correctly, although using
only the XIM protocol, not the IIIMP protocol.

I can't see a OOo issue. Why not as at www.li18nux.org?

Oops, you're right, the bug is at xiiimp.so itself, and has nothing to
do with OOo.  Sorry!
