This behavior is correct. This dialog can be called with other ways. Example: copy CSV datas into clipboard and special paste with Calc. I was aware of scenario(s) you mentioned. It does not invalidate my point. Let me then repeat it: do not show both dialogs at the same time as only one of them is needed (step by step procedure). I suggest therefore that we both agree do disagree. I don't think that it is that bad. When opening a CSV file, in the underlying "Insert Sheet" dialog you can choose on which position the file with a new sheet will appear. So, for me a little advantage compared with Writer as there the text will be simply inserted where the cursor is at the moment. Apologies for the late reply. Had to do more research. It turned out that in the broader context you are absolutely right and I am wrong. Thanks for your valuable comment.
